Jennifer Mulford and her boyfriend breastfeed every two hours in hopes of establishing a milk supply so they can have an adult nursing relationship
There comes a point in every woman’s life when you have to decide what you really need to be happy, and then go for it. For 36-year-old Jennifer Mulford that means quitting her job as a bartender to focus on getting her milk to come in so she can have an adult nursing relationship with her boyfriend. Because YOLO, right?
Fifty Shades of Grey covered a lot of kinky shit, but they never got into this so in case you don’t know, an adult nursing relationship is one where two adults who are not mother and child get their jollies by nursing. Adult nursing relationships usually occur when a woman has a milk supply already established through a pregnancy, but it is possible to lactate without a pregnancy. Some adoptive mothers do it by inducing a milk supply with a breast pump or taking medications.
Mulford breastfed her daughter for a period of eight months 20 years ago but only recently became intrigued by the idea of an adult nursing relationship. She told The Sun, “I have always enjoyed my breasts being touched during sex more than anything else so I knew I would enjoy it.”
But Mulford was single, so she began looking for a partner who was open to the idea. But she couldn’t find anyone, not even on Craigslist. “I used dating sites, put messages on ABR forums and even put an advert on Craigslist, but I drew a blank. I started to think I’d never get to try adult breastfeeding.”
It wasn’t until she reconnected with an old high school boyfriend that she found a potential nursemate. “We were talking and Brad told me he had a thing for big-breasted women, and that size had always been a factor in his relationships.” Seeing an opportunity, Mulford went for it. “I thought it was the perfect time to bring up adult breastfeeding – and see if he’d be interested.” He was.

Since she hasn’t nursed in two decades and hasn’t recently had a baby, the couple is going to great lengths in order to get Mulford’s milk supply to come in. They dry-feed every two hours (Mulford wakes her boyfriend up during the night for feedings) and she uses a breast pump when he’s not available to suckle. She also takes an herbal supplement called Lactiful and drinks an herbal tea called Mother’s Milk, both which are said to help nursing moms increase their milk supply. She’s even added flax seeds and oatmeal to her diet because they’re said to help boost milk supply. Her milk hasn’t come in yet, but the couple is hopeful that it will within a couple months. Say what you want about adult nursing relationships, but you have to admire their dedication to the cause.
Her boyfriend is a self admitted gym rat and is looking forward to the health benefits he may get from the breastmilk. Apparently this dude has never heard of protein shakes.
Until now the couple has only told a few close friends about the nursing part of their relationship. Mulford says, “I’m not opposed to telling people but I don’t think many others would understand. I don’t think my Mother would grasp the idea – but I wish I could tell the world.”
Mission accomplished.
